What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, often translated as yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice that invites you into a state of deep rest while remaining gently aware.
Despite the name, the aim is not to fall asleep. Instead, Yoga Nidra offers an opportunity to step out of the constant demands of thinking, planning and doing, allowing your body to rest deeply while your mind is guided through a gentle sequence of awareness.
Many people describe the experience as profoundly restorative. Some remain awake throughout, others drift in and out of sleep, and both experiences are completely natural. There is no right or wrong way to practise.
In a world that often keeps our nervous systems switched on, creating intentional moments of rest is becoming increasingly important. Whether you are living with stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everyday life, Yoga Nidra can offer a compassionate space to pause.
You don't need any previous experience with meditation or yoga. Simply find somewhere comfortable where you can lie down or sit supported, allow yourself to be guided, and let your practice unfold in whatever way you need on that particular day.
Below you'll find a growing collection of free guided practices, each created to support different moments in life. Whether you're looking for deep rest, support with ADHD, gentle guidance through grief, or calming bedtime stories for busy young minds, I hope you'll find something here that meets you where you are today.

Alongside practices for adults, I've also created gentle, regulation-informed bedtime stories inspired by Yoga Nidra for neurodivergent and sensitive children with busy minds.
